Benediktas Gylys Foundation

The Benediktas Gylys Foundation supports entrepreneurship, creativity, science, and tolerance to improve the quality of life. Established in 2013, BGF has become one of the leading non-profit organizations in Lithuania that supports and nurtures charitable activities to provide the greatest opportunities for individual and societal growth. To advance the mission, BGF supports various entrepreneurship programs and initiatives by young talent.

The non-profit organization supports young people due to their creativity and skills that make them become global corporate and community leaders. The long-term motive of the foundation is to mentor young individuals and provide them with unique opportunities for developing their skills.

BGF distinguishes itself from other organizations through distinct objectives: providing a healthy and holistic approach to life, encouraging a global perspective through social entrepreneurship campaigns, and positioning young people to bring transformation in the communities.

BGF also embraces health as a balanced state of well-being, recognizing aspects such as yoga, fitness, and a healthy lifestyle.

The goal of BGF is not to gather funds to pursue a specific public purpose instead the objective is to give the young talent the boost they need to get to bring a positive change in the world.

In regards to Vilnius Invents 2017, a prize fund of around 21 000 euros by created by the foundation. The entire event was organized by the BGF team that came out to impact Lithuania’s rapidly expanding technology market and the young talents emerging from it.

Benediktas Gylys foundation has successfully completed many humanitarian projects. These include projects such as Computers for Children, Vilnius Invents 2017, We Read Vilnius in Five Years from Now, and Maidan.

Born in Vilnius, Lithuania, he is a book author and an investor and a radio show host.

From its initial founding to today, BGF has come a long way. Since 2013, Benediktas Gylys has managed to grow the foundation’s activities for many projects and is constantly working to expand the global reach.
